It's that time again!
Andre Johnson's Annual Community Day.
Buccaneer Park is always the spot for this event where NFL 7 Time Pro Bowler Andre Johnson grew up. He gives back to the community in a way that really stands out. Each year for the past 14 years he turns the park into a carnival type setting for the entire community. Free rides, free music, free food and free T-shirts. Andre invites some of his NFL buddies and they greet the kids and adults for a fun filled day. Dinner is served lead by his mother Karen Johnson who puts her heart and soul into every plate she prepares. Along with family and friends they serve for hours until everyone in attendance is served a plate of food. Each year the menu consists of Jack's (Mama Lucy's) barbeque ribs and chicken along with various side dishes and desserts. Fun is had by young and old. Andre is a great example of giving back. No wonder there are so many Andre Johnson fans!
